Perhaps the most valuable lesson we’ve learned from 2020 is that when new opportunities arise, they’re usually worth grabbing. And so, this week we are thrilled to announce the opening of Cumulus Studio Adelaide.

South Australia has long been on the cards for Cumulus. We have always felt a connection with the state – the history of progressive design, the food, the wine, the celebration of the arts. As architects, we hope our experience in regional and world heritage tourism projects can add value within a state renowned for its diverse natural assets and rich cultural heritage.

While always on the horizon, it took a keen Cumulus staff member to really bump the move into the immediate future. That person was Cumulus Architect and South Australian native, Jet O’Rourke. Jet will head the new studio in North Adelaide with backing from the entire Cumulus team in Hobart, Launceston and Melbourne. Despite the distance, we will continue to work as one combined studio, sharing projects and resources where needed. This means we will have the capacity to take on anything from major commercial projects to detailed residential work from day one.

We can’t wait to get out, meet new people (while maintaining 1.5) and explore all the exciting opportunities South Australia has to offer.
