Saffire has recently become one of the key partners with the Save the Tasmanian Devil Program in the Menzies Institute for Medical Research’s quest to find a vaccine for Tasmanian Devil Facial Tumour Disease. As part of their involvement in the program, the resort has brought a number of Tasmanian Devils to the site and housed them in an open-range devil enclosure.

Our role was to create a small viewing shelter where guests can learn about the devil program and observe them in their natural habitat. Designed to be in keeping with the rest of the resort, the viewing enclosure presents a large horizontal picture window, which nestles into the landscape placing guests at eye height with the devils.
